Chicken Rendang

#First attempt – loved it!

1kg chicken
1/2 tbsp turmeric powder

To blend together:
1 packet of chilli paste
7-8 shallots
5 cloves garlic
1 large onion
1 inch ginger

2 inches galangal
4 stalks lemongrass

200 ml coconut milk
1 tsp tamarind paste
2 pieces turmeric leaves – thinly sliced
3 tbsp kerisik
salt and sugar to taste
